Man wounded by gunshots; police question woman in case

A 42-year-old man was shot multiple times late Monday night, and Anchorage police are questioning a woman in the case, they said Tuesday.

The man showed up at a local hospital with several bullet wounds that were not life-threatening, police said in a written statement.

The shooting occurred about 11:45 p.m., apparently on Juneau Street south of Tudor Road, they said.

No arrests have been made, and no charges have been filed, according to the police.

The incident appears to be a "domestic violence situation," said Capt. Ross Plummer, head of APD's detective division.

"We're trying to sort out the stories," Plummer said.

okay, so heres a prime example of how liberal our newspaper is. this is all they have printed up about this incident. they won't release any more information, because the facts reveal it to be a defensive-gun-use.

i've met the woman, she works with my landlord doing accounting for his sons business.
the man was stalking her.
the man was previously arrested.
the police advised her to arm herself.
the man had a substance abuse problem and was in rehab.
the man escaped from the rehab facility, and resumed stalking her.
she shot him three times.

i'm still waiting to find out what kind of gun she used, and shot placement. no word whether or not she has a CCW or carried without the permit. it happened in her home though.
