I just ran across this on Facebook. The link is to the news page of a local Alabama TV station.
AL carry permit holders no longer required to undergo additional background checks
I know a lot of other states already allow firearms purchase without a BC for people with a valid CCW permit, but I had not heard anything about AL moving in that direction. I wonder if this is effective immediately? Good new in any case.
EDIT: Sorry, I searched for another post about this topic before posting but didn't find one. Just now I noticed that some one else posted this under the unhelpful title "My Dealer Doesn't Trust Me". If the mods would like to lock or delete this thread, feel free.
