Al-Qaeda video calls for attacks over Mohammed videos 2 hours, 22 minutes ago



PARIS (AFP) - A video by an Al-Qaeda member posted on the Internet called upon Muslims to attack Denmark, Norway and France for publishing cartoons of the Prophet Mohammed.

"Muslims avenge your prophet .... We deeply desire that the small state of Denmark, Norway and France ... are struck hard and destroyed," declared Libyan Mohammed Hassan, who escaped from US custody at Bagram airbase in Afghanistan last July.

"Destroy their buildings, make their ground shake and transform them into a sea of blood," said Hassan, dressed in military fatigues and a black turban, and holding an assault rifle.

Hassan, also known as Sheikh Abu Yahia al-Libi, was one of four Arab terror suspects who broke out of the high-security detention facility at Bagram, the main US military base in Afghanistan.

It was unclear when the 35-minute video, produced by al-Sahab, a media organisation close to Al-Qaeda, was recorded.

The posting of the video comes three week's after Al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden's call in a video to boycott products from the United States and European countries which supported Denmark over the publication of the cartoons.

Earlier this year, the cartoons, including one showing the prophet with a bomb-shaped turban, sparked violent protests by Muslims worldwide after they appeared in Danish and other European newspapers.

Muslims consider any image of the prophet to be blasphemous.

More to the point, France has one of the largest Muslim populations in Europe. This will almost certainly result in more unrest and riots there.
And I wanted to go watch Tour de France this year as it's going near a friend's house.

And thus what would be a simple cartoon becomes a self-fullfilling prophecy

Next they must explain to us how burning, death, and destruction in the streets disproves their violent image and whether they want to solidify this image to the rest of the world with more of the same.

I say "go for it," alienate yourself from the rest of the world. Unite the world against you so that you may wake up extinct and we can all go about our business as a quasi-peaceful and semi-civilized world culture without your plague.

I hope they pick on China, Indian, and Russia next.

Easy targets to take. France threw in with the Arabs against the U.S. The French cannot come crawling back to the U.S. Any defense against The Base will encounter resistance as "racism" in all nations involved.

Seems logical to me that the New Barbary pirates would make France and Scandanavia a priority.

Typical stupidity that'd bite them.

1. Attacking France. France, though the PARISIANS are complacent snots, (people in the south are decent sorts), has a carrier, reliable and accurate nukes, and lots and lots and lots of fighters and helicopters. Not wise to annoy.

2. Attacking Denmark and Norway. Do not make people whose ancestors were Vikings...angry. Their direct ancestors were so hardcore that they crossed the North Atlantic in small rowed open vessels, and tended to excel at that whole sacking and pillaging thing. I've met Danes that, when inebriated and angry, seemed liable, and able to pull someone's head off. You wouldn't like them when they're angry.

Europe is going to be in a nasty place, and soon. They allowed guilt for racism and colonialism to kill them.

Already in Europe, there have been calls in certain places to have seperate teaching for Muslim children and seperate laws. While these are not calls for European Arabs to adopt sharia, the laws they are calling for fly in the face of modern European post modernism, hatred towards religion, and equality of the sexes.

I don't think terrorism is what the Europeans have to worry about. It is Muslim political parties.

Right now in France, you can buy a beer at the age of 16, and watch porn on TV after 9:00 pm. Prostitution, and drug addiction are tolerated if not loved. A "moderate" government with Koranic influenced laws (not sharia, just a smattering of Islamic culture) would wipe away much of modern European culture.

Actually, I think that those are perhaps some of the few decent things about France, but my domestic policy beliefs are very close to the Libertarian Party's. However, the US Libertarian Party and Islamo-Fascists are very different in their beliefs of how a government should be run.
