Alabama 2nd Amendment Win!

Yesterday March 9 2022, our Governor Kay Ivey signed into law a bill that allows permitless concealed carry. A win for Alabama a win for law abiding citizens, and a win for the 2nd Amendment. There will be permits still issued to allow state reciprocity.

Permits are just another way Governmental agencies raise revenue. I am sure the Police will be upset. For profit Policing is real, and alive, especially on I-20 through Louisiana! However, because of he chance of getting caught out of State without a permit, I would recommend getting one.

Can anyone tell me why they removed “made or remade, and intended to be fired from the shoulder and designed or redesigned” from the definition of “shotgun” (page 13 of the bill)

Also, I’m more excited to know we can now carry a “Bowie” knife.

There's two things about the bill that are just asinine. It doesn't go into effect until January 1st, 2023 and it creates a duty to inform where none previously existed.

Other than that, it looks pretty good.
