He is appealing because he asked for $3.12 million. Interesting. It could get really expensive for municipalities who violate the second amendment. I hope Chicago takes notice. Actually, I hope this helps spawn a whole new push for lawyers to sue them. There could be a lot of money in it for them.

He certainly earned it... and possibly even a handsome tip to boot. I presume that the District operates on a budget just like any of our cities, counties, and states do, so a large payout from their budget will definitely make those money spenders have to find creative ways to fund all of their pet bureaucracies and projects. But nothing ever stopped them from spending beyond that, no. They'll burn money that isn't there without blinking.
