I just ordered a 50 Beowulf upper from Alexander arms, has anyone ordered one recently to give me an idea of their turn around time. The email they sent says it varies widely.

If their own email states it varies widely then I don't think a few people posting their experiences here will do you any good. The few people you get wouldn't be enough to extrapolate a decent guess on a turn around time, especially when the company even states there's more variables at play. What someone experienced a month ago may not be akin to your experience.

It took me about 14 months but I ordered right at the beginning of the gun fiasco. I ordered a Beowulf Upper and that was completed about 3 months before the Grendel Upper and Receiver. I did the shillen barrel on the Grendel and used the Mag Pul PRS stock along with the AA trigger. No complaints. Get a recoil reducer, I ordered mine with the tank break and I still hate to shoot more than 20 rounds at a time. Kicks pretty nicely. Reloading is pretty easy but be careful AA recently changed the max charge the recommend. Quality rifle, nice service, awesome concept!

I don't know how long it took to get my upper. My dealer had it in stock. But I have had two cases of ammo on order since August 2013.
