I have a Ruger SR9C that I occasionally carry with a Kholster Full Moon IWB holster. I love the Kholster as it is very comfortable. However, the kydex portion of the Kholster is rubbing or wearing on the front of the trigger guard after carry use.

I'm looking for recommendation for an all leather IWB holster with either the belt loops (preferred) or a belt clip (maybe could live with) that securely holds the SR9C but doesn't prematurely wear the softer finish on the polymer frame. I like for my IWB holsters to ride fairly low on my belt/pants if that makes any difference. Any leather IWB holster suggestions?

Thanks in advance!

High Noon has a variety of models, though all are fairly similar in design. They do a good job of listing these that are low riders and which will fit the Ruger SR9C.

Milt Sparks is always a safe bet for holsters.

A couple of things to remember with any holster.

1. Expect wear on your pistol no matter the holster.

2. Make sure you don't carry so deep you can't get a grip on the pistol for a secure draw.

Any suggestions on what I could possibly line the inside of the Kydex portion of the Kholster with to avoid the scratching of the front of the trigger guard?

Electrical tape? Duct tape?

Thanks for any suggestions.

No. The wear point, in this case the trigger guard area, is where your holster creates the tension to hold your pistol securely to keep it from falling out. If you remove the tension, you will get less wear, but you will have a sloppy holster with no retention. If you want to do that, you could heat the kydex part and bend the area away from your trigger guard. Kydex will wear a point quickly, but at some point it will stop as the "equilibrium" is reached. If you've done 20+ draws from your holster, you've probably done as much damage to the trigger guard as you are going to do. It most likely won't get any worse.

There are leather lined kydex holsters if that is what you are looking for.
