Can anyone provide loading data for Alliant 300-MP? I bought a pound to try, but the only data source I've found is Alliant's website. While I generally trust them, I always like to cross-check loads.

I'm planning to load 158 gr jacketed bullets in the 357 and 240 gr jacketed bullets in the 44.

Thanks for any assistance.

If you want to fly on the bleeding foreskin of new powder technology, you have to rely on one source for data.
And that will always be the powder company.

If 300-MP turns out to be a useful and successful powder that offers any real advantage over other powders?
You can expect to see it included in future editions of all the major reloading manuals.

Otherwise, you will be far ahead of the curve by using Alliant data, reducing it 10% for your starting load, and working up your as normal.

Thanks, guys. Was hoping someone had some data from other sources like loaddata.com or from various magazine articles.

Let us know how you like it once you've had an opportunity to try it out. I'm currently, and have been for decades using H110 / 296 exclusively. But I recieved a data update from Alliant recently and have been waiting for someone to give me the heads up on that powder, so please post your findings when you get an opportunity, I would greatly appreciate it!

Will do, gamestalker. Like you, I use a lot of H110/296 in magnums. I used 2400 way back when but got away from it. I'm using it again though since it's more flexible for non-max loads. And now 300-MP.
