Has anyone had any experience using another electronic method of sending or receiving funds for a firearm purchase other than PayPal? If so, how would you rate the experience?

eBay has finally seen the light, and now accept credit cards, which are PROCESSED thru PayPal. I've done some Christmas shopping on eBay, and used that service. (for free)
I don't know why they decided to do this, but they started getting some of my business by offering that service.

I don't know of another reliable service that is similar to PayPal, though. Sorry.

Archaic maybe and so 20th century, but if a website doesn't take a credit card I don't do business with them.

eBay acquired PayPal in 2002. This option has been around for over a decade.

As far as alternatives, none of them seem to have taken off, especially after the gunpal fiacsco.

Of course. What I was saying is that, most sellers had taken ONLY Paypal for several years, after eBay acquired PayPal. But now, eBay has changed the payment options to allow someone with a credit card, but without PayPal, to make purchases quickly and easily. PayPal processes the transaction, but you don't have to sign up for PayPal.

I don't use Pay-Pal, or E-Bay for that matter. I have bought a lot of "stuff" including firearms, and paid with a USPS Money Order or Bank Certified Draft. So far no seller has turned me down. ;)

At firms where I do regular business they accept my credit card without question.

I have bought guns off gunbroker and deposited the money directly in the sellers bank account at a branch of the same bank in my town. The seller gave me his account number and I simply did a transfer at the teller window.
