I am pretty new to some things, so please assist on me understanding something. I have a new rifle with a HS precision Kevlar stock with aluminum bedding. Can someone advise me what the aluminum bedding means and how this is a good feature, and how maybe it can not be?

Does it make re-bedding in the future more difficult? Is that even necessary.

Your H-S stock is a good stock. The aluminum bedding block is an aircraft aluminum piece that's molded into the stock. The action rests on the block and the block provides a stable bedding for the action. The action screws should be tightened to 65 in/lbs, according to H-S. It's 45 in/lbs, according to Remmy. Take your choice. I use 65 in/lbs.

Some people do further bed the stock by what's known as "skim bedding," in which a thin layer of bedding material, eg., fiberglass, Marine Tex, etc., is coated over the bedding block. I don't use any kind of bedding, other than the aluminum block, with my H-S stock.
