I been kicking this idea about selling my HK45 there is nothing wrong with pistol it’s the most accurate .45ACP I own but the only thing I don’t like about pistol is mag price 65.00 each, and ammo price going up. I’m debating weather to sell pistol and going all 9MM what does everyone else think?

Doesn't sound crazy to me if all your other sidearms are 9mm also.

On the other hand, .45 acp is a proven "fight stopper" as Col. Cooper would say.

I'd keep one .45ACP gun. 9mms are the way to go for cheap(er) ammo, but the .45 is still a superior anti-person round.

Personally im switching over to 38 wheel guns because if you reload there extremely cheap to shoot and you can buy a used S&W for a good price (with everyone buying autos).

That said, a lot can be said for ammo commonality, just get some nice JHP 9mms and it will work just as well as a .45. .45s are fun but I haven't got one just because the ammo is a lot more expensive and id rather not reload for a auto.

Keep it. It is a great world class gun. You like it . It's not your only gun and you already have 9mm's to shoot. Shoot the 9mm's and put that fight stopper in the safe for awhile. Don't sell it.

I've retired my XD 45 compact in favor of a Glock 19. XD is now on house duty with the big mags in it!
So no, you aren't crazy for switching. A 9mm is still plenty powerful, and since it's cheaper you get to practice shot placement more!

Sell it to me and let me rid you of that awful 45!

(Seriously, that HK45 is one of the finest 45s ever made - you would rue the day you sold it forever. Keep it, stuff it full of JHPs, and stick it in your night stand!)
