Had to run down to Dallas yesterday to be with dad for his surgery, stopped at the folk's house in Gainesville to play with my brother's new carry piece. I was kinda intrigued because my brother has carried a Colt Delta for as long as he was able to lift it, and now he has a 9mm. And what a 9mm it is. An HK P7. I ran a couple hundred rounds thru it, and once I got used to the grip cocker, I was grinning like a cat in a hamster farm. Of course, with the price their asking for these things I doubt one is in my future, but I definately penciled one in on my Ultimate Just Won the Lottery Wishlist.

well boo...you should have hollered and I'd have taken you by some of the 'unknown' gunshops while you were here. Besides, I hear I need to ask you about Mitchell pistols.

Surgery went just fine, just a hip replacement, his third BTW. Biggest problem now is listening to him complain about them wanting to ship him to Baylor for rehab. He figures he's done rehabed from 2 hip replacements and a knee fusion, so he can probably do just as good a job at home. Right now he's at Doctor's Hospital over by White Rock Lake and I have to admit I've never been to the area. I did see a couple of gun shops and one music shop that I want to check out next time I'm down there. Not much to say about Mitchell's, everyone hates them but me, apparently I've had the only 2 in exsistance that work. But boy, the one I've got now really works!

And I think I already have more wish jars than coins to put in them, but now I understand why those people who have those P7's like them so much. Too bad they don't make one in a real caliber.

I got to play with one of those in the store the other day, and I'm sold. If I had some cash to throw around, I'd definitely grab one. They feel so slim and solid. I like the grip cocker a lot too.

There is a P7M7 in .45acp but H&K made a very small number of them. Maybe 6 or 7 guns. Since they are all collector's items they make the price of the M8 or M13 look cheap.
