Ambidextrous Slide Stops - basic installation?

How does one install a basic Ambidextrous Slide stop vs. a regular one? Is there something on the other side to mate with the regular slide stop part on the left side of the gun?

Can someone post pics of an ambi- slide stop outside of the gun?
