For instance, if we were imperialists we would actually KEEP the places we invade, instead of rebuilding them with our cash and going home a couple years later. That's what EVERY OTHER IMPERIAL POWER IN HISTORY tried to do.

Yeah, and that just proves our government is smart enough to learn from their mistakes. They would invade a country, take it over and fight long bloody wars that eventually led to them being driven out.

We attack a country, declare it liberated, and get the hell out of there. same end result (we leave) but we avoid the long bloody war. At least, I hope that's what we plan to do.

A fact not widely known: the USA is also a member of OPEC.


Yet it has comparatively little power in that group.

That's because the power a country wields in that group is directly proportional to the amount of oil it can flood onto the market at any given time (crashing the price). Hence, Saudi Arabia is (and always has been) the lead dog in that pack and our leader puts his nose down and rump in the air whenever they bark.

The American Indians were far more democratic than we are. I'm not saying that's a good thing, but we didn't bring them democracy, that's for sure.

As far as the Muslim terrorists go.... the more dead ones the better.

Actually, our founding fathers borrowed a few traditions from the Iroquois confederation of tribes when they were writing the constitution.
