hello. I recently inherited an American arms escort that is in pieces. I was wondering if anyone who has one is willing to take it apart and take some pictures of it and the relationship of the parts so I know if I am missing any and how to put it back together. It has the trigger and takedown lever installed but the whole back end is in pieces. Any help would be appreciated.

I also have an Escort. They were neat guns, and ahead of their time in being compact DAO 380's. Being made of steel, they are kind of heavy compared to a KelTec or a Ruger LCP now.

I found two weak points in the gun:

1) The grips turned VERY crumbly and brittle. Fortunately, Numrich had NOS factory grips that were in good shape.

2) The trigger spring. Mine broke, and on searching the Internet, this seems to have happened to a number of other people too. This part is NOT available. I got a friend with gunsmithing talent to make a replacement, but a lot of smiths would not be able too, or would not want to take the time required.
