I recently purchased a PX-22. It didn't come with a manual, nor can I find one on line. I'm trying to figure out how to remove the firing pin so I can get inside the channel to clean it good. The pistol had been shot a good bit and is, or was, very dirty. The only place I can't really get to is the firing pin, spring and channel.

If these are a direct clone of the Iver Johnson TP-22, then instructions from that pistol may apply here too, but I'm not sure.

One more question...does the magazine come apart for cleaning? It appears pinned together and not easily dismantled.

I've got an Iver-Johnson TP22 that I've detail stripped a few times. Here's how to remove the firing pin of that gun (which I believe is an identical twin of the PX-22):

1. Make sure gun is unloaded.
2. Remove magazine.
3. Remove slide.
4. Set safety lever to "safe" position.
5. Working over a light colored surface (to provide contrast for the spring-loaded parts that inevitably rocket out of the gun at supersonic speed), use a 3/32" punch to push the firing pin forward. With the punch holding the pin forward, you should be able to use the punch to apply sideways motion to push the safety lever out of the slide (to the left). NOTE: the safety's spring and detent ball will fall/fly out.
6. The firing pin is still retained by a small, cross-shaped deal in the slide. With the back of the slide facing the ground (to catch the pin when it flies out of the gun), use a pair of needle-nosed pliers to yank the cross-shaped firing pin retainer out of the bottom of the slide. I find it is helpful to first use another pair of needle-nosed pliers to pull the firing pin completely forward from the breech block . NOTE: the firing pin is under spring pressure and will want to shoots directly into eyes/nose/other mucous membranes at high speed.
7. Reassembly is generally the reverse of disassembly. The only tricks are to make sure the the cross-shaped firing pin retainer is oriented properly (it's keyed to fit the firing pin only when the firing pin is installed correctly) and getting the spring/detent ball in. I recommend doing the latter by reinstalling the firing pin/retainer, then sliding the safety lever most of the way on until it just about covers the hole in the back of the slide for the spring/detent ball. Then, use a punch to push the spring/detent ball into the slide while pushing the safety lever to partially cover the hole and prevent their escape. You can then remove the punch and slide the safety lever on all the way. Note that the safety lever is most easily installed in the "safe" position (though you may want to try both).

Let me know if you need any additional help.
