Help w/ Taurus PT-22? Firing Pin?

My PT-22 stopped firing! It appears as though the firing pin broke. If you lift the barrel up and pull the trigger...the firing pin no longer comes out of the hole. Anybody have this problem? Any suggestions? Can I easily fix it without sending the gun to Taurus?
