Ammo Can Storage?

Also, ammo cans can be hidden very easily in your house.

As a computer guy, I heartily endorse this method of storage, would blend right in with the stacks of old hardware. It would even be possible to have an operational machine configured to house a box. The only downside is that in a burglary situation thieves do take computers.

Just remember that the more ammo you put in a can, the heavier it gets.
I have a buddy that dumps his ammo out of it’s boxes into ammo cans. This way he can get more ammo in the can. But there are two disadvantages to doing that. One is that the can is heavier and the other is when you want to grab 50 to 100 rounds to go shooting, you’re going to have to count out rounds.
It’s best to store full ammo boxes in the ammo cans. It makes Keeping count of what you use much easier.
And then there’s the SHTF situation. The zombies are attacking and you have to hand out more ammo. If your ammo is still in boxes it makes it easier to hand out ammo.;)

Metal ammo cans are great because, they can be used for many things besides just storing ammo.
And you can put a lock on your ammo cans.

When it comes to stacking them, they do pretty good on their own. MTM doses make trays that will hold four metal cans. These are great for stacking. There a r handles on the sides of the trays but four ammo cans, full of ammo, is pretty heavy.

Does that lock set up seal or do you add silicone or something?
