The real GI surplus ones, made in 'merica!
I wanted some extras and found these at a swap meet
Good rubber seals and paint, no rust.
The cost--
two 30 cal cans for $10, Two 50 cal cans for $18

Apparently the prices of these fluctuate and pricing varies by location ?

Year or two ago I could get them for $7 at a gun show
Currently the ‘regular’ price for new cans in big box stores are $20 for a 50 cal but usually there is a sale somewhere to drop that down to about $10 each. Those fat 50 cans are around 12-15 at a lgs last I looked.

I bought quite a few from gun shows and from academy sports when their sale hits. A guy can almost never have too many. I continually find new uses for them and those fat 50 cans hold a good deal of 22 ammo which makes orginization easier.

The fellow had got them at a surplus auction at Ft Hunter Liggett to resell in order to finance his daughter's high school Washington DC trip.
He had fat .50s too, but my back told me to pass on those!

You got a good deal.

The ammunition cans are very good for storing ammunition and related items.

I was processing 500 rounds of brass when I was stricken with a neurological disease. I didn't get back to that brass for 20 years. Because it was in various stages of processing, I got a good look at how brass does being stored in different ways. The worst was being stored loose in a ziploc storage bag left in the bottom drawer in a garage in Texas (roughly 15% of cases had to be discarded). The best was being stored in divided plastic boxes that had a separate compartment for each round with the plastic boxes being stored in a steel ammunition can with a desiccant bag (no losses).
