We have like, 3 simultanious reliablility threads going. I was about to reply to when when I came to a conclusion. I can't think of a single gun I've ever owned or fired that had a malf that was due to the gun itself. Every malf I've seen was ammo related.
So I decided to start a thread with a new focus
"Which ammo does your gun choke on?"
Name your gun and any ammo you've run into that has caused a problem with it. I'll start as an example:
Ammo: Remington Bulk .22lr in anything.
Problems: Failures to feed, failures to fire, and failures to eject in my Dad's Firearm(s): Ruger MK.II slab side and my Browning 5.5 Nickel Target.
Ammo: UltraMax .223 55gr HP
Problem: Failures to feed, hanging on feed ramp most rounds.
Firearm: Bushmaster XM-15 carbine with USGI mags.
(Not an auto-loading handgun but you get the idea. I reload so much I couldn't think of any others and wanted at least 2 examples).
