Can a licensed gun dealer deliver ammo to a customers door? Within the state of course. Trying to find specific details on A.T.F.'s website is like pulling teeth.
If anyone knows could you provide a link please? :D

I don't think you need an FFL. Midwayusa will be happy to ship some ammo to you...

Ammo can be shipped via regular common delivery service such as UPS.

It just has to be clearly marked as "ORM-D" - Other Regulated Materials -Domestic. This applies to many materials that are combustible or otherwise dangerous. The only thing that really applies to you is that it can only be shipped ground and not air (not that you want to pay for air freight of ammo).

no. FFLs have to first ship it to me. Then I can judge whether it should be reshipped to you.

So long as you are old enough to purchase ammo it can be shipped to your house.

Watch out for shipping prices though, sometimes they ruin the deal that you found on the internet.

about every online vendor that deals with guns sells ammo, most only require a picture of a picture ID, emailed faxed or mailed to them before they will send it to your door.

i purchase alot of ammo from aim surplus the ups guy just drops it off at my door lol

Just be aware that some states have weird laws with ammo. That's why a lot of retailers won't sell it to Massachusetts.

UPS just plop's the box on my door step weather I'm home or not. I have a storm door that opens to the outside. Sometimes they put a 25lbs box right in front of it, and I can hardly open the door.

Maybe they do that out of spite.
