I have a Steyr Carbine, I believe it's a M 95/30, that is chambered in 8x56R. I have burned through all the Nazi surplus ammo at the local gun shop where I got the gun. I'm left with plenty of clips, but I can't seem to find any more ammo for the thing. New, non-corrosive would be great, but mil-surp would be better than nothing. Privi Partizan advertises this caliber on their website, but I can't actually find any for sale. The local gun shop tried to get some in from Privi, but no luck. Any help would be appreciated.

Aimsurplus has some on the modern produced, non-corrosive 8x56r from Prvi Partizan. I've had good luck with it in the past.

An interesting historical tidbit I found in my last batch of old surplus 8x56r. Each round came from a different clip that had ended up in the same box over the years. The round on the left was produced in January, 1938 and is marked with the double headed Austrian eagle. The round on the right was produced in August of 1938 and is now marked with the Nazi eagle. These two rounds bracket the Anschluss (the annexation of Austria by Germany) which happened in March of 1938. It didn't take the Nazis long to swap out the stamps apparently. As much as I love shooting guns, these two rounds I'll keep around for the history.
