I don't think this has been brought up but Federal, Winchester and Remington are all offering mail in rebates for some of their ammunition. It's mostly hunting type stuff and pretty limited in scope but every little bit helps. I know I won't say no to $5.00 a box .30-30.

Some sporting goods stores have advertised this is a special but it runs pretty much through the end of the year and you can get the rebate coupons from the manufacturer's websites.

Remington
$5.00/box on up to two boxes of Core-Lokt ammunition.
$5.00/box on up to two boxes of Buckhammer slugs.

Winchester
$5.00/box on up to two boxes of Winchester Super-X centerfire ammo.
$5.00/box on up to two boxes of Winchester Supreme Elite or Supreme centerfire ammo.
$5.00/box on up to two boxes of Supreme Elite or Supreme shotgun slugs.

Federal
$5.00/box on up to two boxes of Federal Premium centerfire.
$5.00 box on up to two boxes of Federal Fusion centerfire.

I hope the rebate process isn't one of those incredibly intricate dealies where they're betting on you not jumping through every restrictive hoop and dotting every possible "i" and crossing every possible "t."

Ha, ha! We won! No Rebate for you! Nyah-nyah!

Actually, Remington provides a form online to fill in all the information, then they provide a printable rebate form all filled in with a barcode so they can identify it. You just have to attach your receipt/UPC codes and mail it. The buying period is 6 months long and the rebates are accepted for another 2 weeks after it is over, so they are making it pretty easy. Not sure about the others.

That said, all rebate offers are counting on the majority of people buying the product and not sending in the forms.

I sent in the rebate form for a Remington 710 rifle and several boxes of ammo in August, and haven't heard anything back yet. I filled out the forms, included the proofs of purchase, and reciepts and everything.

If technology rebates are any gauge then it will probably take a few months, I usually see stuff from November show up sometime in early to mid spring.

Done Winchester's last year and got it back faster than I'd figure a would. Done both Remington and Winchester this year, but haven't got anything back yet.

I bought my rifle and a box of ammo in September and got the rebates back last week. Took awhile, but what rebates don't!

Later,
Chrome...

I have a question:
On each of these rebate forms, it asks for the original cash register receipt. If orders are placed online (such as Cabelas), could the invoice that is emailed to you take the place of the "original cash register receipt"?

Has anybody received the rebates from online purchases successfully?

Thanks!

Got back a Remington Core-Lokt rebate last year about 2 months later.

Last "rebate" I sent off for was a free hat from Federal for 5 UPCs off their 12 ga. value packs.

I bought two boxes of Remington Core-lokt in late Oct and got my $10 in the mail last week. No problems, send in the form with a copy of your receipt and the UPC's off the boxes and your done! No Biggie. Took me 10 minutes to earn $10, wish I could do that all the time. :D
