Just purchased a Browning Buckmark Camper. I'd appreciate any thoughts or opinions you may have on which brand of ammo seems to work the best with this pistol.

Thanks in advance.

Buckmark ammo

There are many choices. I take the route of least resistance. For plinking I buy the Federal bargain box at WalMart. My Buckmark is very tolerant of any ammo and will go hundreds of rounds before it needs cleaning. For bullseye I pick something a little more special, still working on that. Just buy some ammo and shoot it, a lot!

In a .22 I don't want it if it will not eat any bulk pack from Remington, Winchester or Federal.
I usually have better luck with the Remington for accuracy but more duds due to bad primers/hard case rims than any other brand.

I use winchester or federal bulk from wally-world for my buckmark and it will eat them all day long. the remington's, well about 250-300 and I will get a ftf or fte due to the extra crude from them? Of course that is getting better the more we shoot it and the more broke in it gets.
Eley sport it really likes for just trying to blow the bulls eye out of the target. It is very accurate with those. shoots all well, just the eley's alittle better.

Have Fun, Be Safe.

I tried LOTS of different .22LR in my Buckmark before I settled on Winch. Dynapoints. Not the cheapest around, but the best marks for both reliability and accuracy for me and my pistol. Try a lot of different ones and see what works best for yours.

On the Browning BuckMark Camper models be careful not to tighten
the sight base screws too tight when cleaning the firearm, as they
have a plastic sight base; and over tightening will cause them to
split. Other BuckMark models have a metal sight base, so there is
NO problem with them~! :scrutiny:

As to ammo, I shoot plated bullets in my BuckMark; such as the
Remington "Golden Bullets" that I buy in bulk. I have never had a
problem with these in my gun; although some members here at
THR have reported mis-fires using this ammo~! :scrutiny: ;)
