Ammo recommendations

I think it does matter, a 185gr JHP .45 is way more effective than a 230 FMJ .45

Used a 1911 for 21 years of my military career and all we used were 230 grain fmj bullets. Trust me when I say it does not matter, or don't that is your prerogative .
