every year for my wifes birthday we go to Las Vegas to escape work bs and our teenage children. My favorite part of the trip is going to one of the machine gun places and trying a new rifle or sub gun. This year many of their weapons were unavailable for range time because of a lack of ammo. All russian ammo thanks to the Biden mandate but also 30-06, .45lc and .38 special. Since I reload I havent bought or fired factory in quite some time and found this surprising, Stock up when you can find it fellas.

Ya, this has been going on for almost two years now, bro. Covid and domestic unrest, the looming threat of civil/race war, the election of an avowed gun banner and antigun Congress- all contributed to sky-high ammo demand and supply constrictions.

I wish I could unplug from current events as completely as you apparently can! Cheers, mate!

I'm in good shape, but even reloading supplies are hard to find. Common cartridges like 9mm, 223/5.56, 308 and 12 ga shotshells are out there in loaded ammo. But that is about it. I have plenty of components to handload what I shoot and decent stockpiles of what I don't handload. The only thing I wish I had more of is 20 ga shells.

There are a lot of contributing factors to the ongoing ammunition shortage: Millions of new gun owners in the last two years has increased demand; the current political climate due to a fiercely anti-gun administration causing many to hoard ammo; Remington's Lanoka, AK plant being essentially shut down during their bankruptcy, resulting in reduced manufacturing capacity; import restrictions on foreign ammunition, etc. It is possible to find some of the more popular calibers, but you will probably have to settle for what they have, rather than the load you want. All of this has resulted in price-gauging by manufacturers, distributors, and, yes, some LGSs. I don't expect it to ease soon.

Was this "Battlefield LV"? That's disappointing. I've never been and being stuck in New England my whole life I never imagined I'd have any reason to visit LV but if I was gonna go, that would be my first stop. I'd wondered what became of them and how they were holding up through this round of ammo shortages, then with the Biden bs re Russian ammo I imagine their business is severely impacted. So sorry for them, and their customers.

They employ alot of vets who were really struggling to phase back in with society and Ron gave alot of those guys a place to go with a sense of purpose and were able to work with other people going through the same stuff, to think that business is suffering and that those guys might eventually have to close up shop because of all this is a real bummer......
