The other night I was cruising armslist and saw someone post that walmart near me had tons of ammo, 223, x39, etc etc, updated at 930, saw it at 945 and threw my boots on and trucked away to walmart. Got there at ten, made my way to the ammo cabinet like a madman and was disappointed to see there were only two boxes of 380 and a box of 22 mag. I wanted to get a box of 380, flagged someone down and they said no ammo after 10pm now(it was 10:03)! but somehow it was fine to grab a box of birdshot off the open shelf? I went back and pondered a bit waiting to track down a new employee, as I looked at an empty shelf I got down real low and saw wow, they had like 20 boxes of 223 and 17 boxes of x39 tucked way in the back on the bottom shelf. I could really have made some buddies happy with that rifle ammo.
truth is I reload everything I shoot besides 22 which is down to under 200 rds. That'll last me a while though, I hardly shoot 22 anymore when cast 230gr 45 reloads cost less than bulk box 22 at normal price per round.
