Anuone buy ammo online? I have a 8mm, and a 6.5x55 and ammo is hard to find around here. Should O stock up at gun shows or buy online? what kinda special handling fees would I expect ? Thanks!!!

I buy online a lot.
Ammoman, Ammunitiontogo.com, sportsmans guide, aim surplus, all of these have been great.
I look for deals and buy in bulk.

I stopped going to gunshows a few years ago as there wasn't anything there anymore that drew my attention, just my ire. I don't regret it.

PPU 139 gr SP BT @ 2540 fps in 6.5x55 is good factory ammo and well priced. I buy from Cabelas although they are generally more expensive because of points and they often have good shipping deals. No hazmat fees on factory ammo as far as I know. Natchez Shooters supply has some of the best shipping costs - at least for the Northeast.

went with MIDWAY cost 12.50 for shipping for 4 boxes 2 of each. When this buz weres off I hope I dont regret it LOL. Got PPU hope it works as well with these Bolts as it does with my TC in 30.06!

Generally less per round when bought 'in bulk', but watch those shipping charges. Those CAN wipe out your savings from bulk purchases.

Before I started handloading it I got my 6.5x55 from ammo to go. I bought boxes of Prvi 139gr SP for $13 a box. Pretty good stuff, shoots under an inch in my Tikka and the one deer we shot with it went down really quick though the meat damage was a touch on the heavy side, but that is to be expected when you hit the shoulder socket LOL Brass is pretty good too.
