Does anyone have a good source of ammunition for the Garand. I reload my own but a friend of mine wants to purchase some. I dont want to be his supply for sure. I got some lake city a year ago but is there another souce beside cmp. I dont have all the credentials to purchase from them. Just seems to be a hassle. Sure would appreciate info.

What credentials are you missing to purchase from the CMP? The Greek stuff they have is supposedly very good. And I have a ton of their Lake City stuff and it really is super ammo.

It really isn't a whole bunch of work to buy from them. If you have your C&R and a membership with the Garand Collectors Association then you are all set. And the deals they have on rifles and ammunition are hard to beat.
 
Thanks for the info guys. I guess i need my birth certificate, copy of my member ship in the gun club and fill out some paper work. Guess I need to do it. Thanks for the link also.
 
Last I saw, I think www.aimsurplus.com still sold some Korean ammo in clips and bandoliers. This is the corrosive stuff though so your buddy will have to take precautions.

Otherwise, CMP all the way. My CHL covered my activity. My Texas State Rifle Association membership was my affiliated organization. The Lake City I have is good stuff. I need to order some Greek before too long.

I have some Korean non-corrosive ammo and it works. No problems. I am not a good judge of accuracy.
