Given our 'fantastic' weather lately my dog was about to drive me crazy to get out of the house and stretch her legs a smidge. That usually means throwing a few guns in the truck and heading to the property for an afternoon and that's just what we did on Sunday. It was cold & wet but still enjoyed just being outside to walk around.

I recently 'rediscovered' my 1948 K22 purchase that has been stored away since I bought it. Still got some work to do but it isn't the guns fault! This was off hand at 15 yards:

Picked up this 1894C back early December and hadn't even gotten to shoot it. The gun is far from mint but that doesn't bother me either. Just like the other 357's I have owned this one shot a ragged hole at 50 yards. This one will be my keeper :)

The star of the show yesterday was the new to me 32 H&R Cowboy. My first 10 shots were great, I'm going to need some more ammo to get it better though.

As you can see, Annie isn't overly amused with my shooting. She does find the mud my shots were kicking up entertaining, however.

The last break in for the day was this Ruger 44 Carbine I picked up first of January in a trade. Always wanted one but never shot one. It left the big holes in the 32's target :)

That was pretty much it for shooting. Liked the little Ruger so much I loaded it up and we went to walk fences for a while. Annie loves sticking her nose on the deer tracks and chasing them all over.

Even found a nice stump for some scenic Ruger shots:

Then we just piled in and headed for the house. Hope ya'll enjoyed the photos!

Your weather looks pretty good to me. We have at least 18 inches of snow on the ground and a high of 12 degrees ( above, at least) today.

Sounds like a wonderful afternoon.

It was!

Your weather looks pretty good to me. We have at least 18 inches of snow on the ground and a high of 12 degrees ( above, at least) today.

We had about 4 inches two nights before this, but it didn't stick around long thankfully. Not so keen on the cold! Only problem now is with it thawing out the ground has turned to mush.

So jealous I love your ruger and that 1894 looks sweet

Their all nice, it's hard to pick a favorite!

Good Guns, good dog, life doesn't get much better than that.

Agreed :)

Tell me what's better than guns and dogs? Nothing, that's what.

When the misses joins too, but she was away for the weekend.

Looks like a nice afternoon out with a good companion. Im jealous.

Thanks!

Very nice! Looks like y'all had a great time!

Thank you!

I like your style. All of those guns just scream fun!

Sounds like you have good taste, too. :)

From the previous posts...I think we all want to pile into that truck and go with you next time!

a good afternoon.

Mark

Hey Mark, your not even 'that' far away!

Sound's like a awesome afternoon and good picture's

Thanks!

I think you hit another bulls-eye with that thought.

I see what you did there, David. :)

You have.....22 to just go shoot for fun!?

I got a shipment in from Midway about a week ago so felt less guilt using it. When you shoot it from a 6 shot revolver you feel like you've done a lot more work. In reality that was probably only 75 rounds or so!
