Mr. Miller noted several U.S. cities such as Chicago have passed
ordinances restricting handgun ownership.

Lemme get this straight.....he's citing Chicago as the city he wants his to end up like, crime-wise?

to the optimistic betters

how much would you like to bet that some DA goes after those who oppose the "central storage" with liability/negligence suits?

IIRC our ancestors were gathered at Concord to collect arms from a "centralized storage location". So, apparently these facilities lead to the gubmint showing up to stop you from borrowing your guns. I say we skip that step first time around and keep guns where they belong.

Hey, guys, wait a minute. This could really be the answer. But, we're not thinking big enough. We need to put all potential weapons into the facility. Let me think of all the things I've seen used as weapons in my career...Ball bats, Golf clubs, Big kitchen knives, Axes, Hatchets, Hammers, Screwdrivers, Utility knives, Pocket knives, Lumber, Telephones, Skillets, Diner Plates, Rocks, Clay pots, etc., etc. See, if we take all the potential weapons and lock them up in the Big Brick Building, and only check them out to authorized persons for a limited time period, violent crime will end.

:barf:
