I have 2 weapons that I would consier using an ankle holster for

1. Kel-Tec P32 (I know, its a good pocket gun)
2. 2 inch K Frame

What would be some suggestions of holster makers to look at for a decent quality, decent priced ankle holster that will fill this niche?

A lot of the price will depend on what type of material you're looking for it to be made out of, i.e., cordura, nylon, leather. I've seen the cordura/nylon ones going for around ~$30. A good leather one will cost you about a c-note. IMHO, leather is more comfortable in the long run. Ken Null Holsters has a great design that should lend to a great deal of comfort. Part of the reason the leather ones are so much higher in price is it's a very labor intensive type of holster to properly make.

My thoughts are that I HATE ankle holsters. I'd consider a belly band, pocket holster ( ), or anything else. I wouldn't even carry a BUG on my ankle. Maybe a backup-backup gun...

Plus, it looks ridiculous when you wear shorts. :D

I'm partial to the Galco Ankle Glove. As comfortable as an ankle holster can get and very stable. With an airweight snubbie, you'll hardly know it's there.

Running around with extra weight hanging off one leg just doesn't appeal to me. Nor does having to bend over and pull up my pants leg to draw.

I carry my G30 in a Fobus ankle holster occasionally. It's open top but holds the weapon securely. It's a pretty fast draw for an ankle rig. It's also comfortable and only cost me $25. :D

I found most nylon rigs flimsy and the high end molded holsters a bit hard to conceal under jeans....I now use the Renegade....very comfortable and has a soft leather pouch which redues bult (especially with a K frmame)...the strap is for retention, you don't need to unsnap it, just pull thru....they run around 50 bucks....this one is 2 years old and used quite a bit....holds up real well..

I have also heard nothing but good things about the renegade
