I have been planning on buying an AR/M16 type rifle for a long time now. I don't really know why....I like the way they look, but more importantly, I think that the more someone says i can't have it, or shouldn't have it, the more I want it.
First of all, I live in california, so my options are limited. But I do want to buy now before they stop the sale completely. I dont think that I can afford the complete rifle now, so I buy only the lower now, will I still be able to purchase different uppers if a new ban goes into effect. In other words, do I have to have a complete and operational rifle prior to the ban? or do I only need the lower.
If i purchase multiple uppers and then subsequently move out of california to some other state, can i then buy a new lower with higher capacity, removable magazines that will work with my existing uppers?
