Another AR scope mount Q

Short Q is: will carry handle optics mounts work on detachable carry handles? Or are there any in particular designed to work on the detachable carry handles?

If I'm not mistaken I think I've seen mounts that specifically say that they will *not* fit detachable carry handles, so do those without that statement fit?

I know... if I have an A3 reciever I should probably just get risers and high rings. But I'm still curious about the carry handle option.

Generally carry handle optics will work fine in a detachable carry handle. It depends on whether the channel at the top is milled the same. Usually, just mounting direct to the flattop is a better option though.

I'd say yes. It would be a very poor idea to machine the slot to a different dimension than is found on the fixed handle rifle. But remember, the AR-15/M-16 was designed by a committee...
