My Son's came home today with yet another archery deer. This one was a mule deer with a distintive white tail rack, a common thing around here in Arizona. It is a large 3x3 with a spread of about 22". He isn't heavy, but he is tall, wide, and large bodied.
Every year for the last 5 years my Son's have been bringing home the meat, and all but one have been with a bow. These guys have it figured out, wish I could have killed a deer in my life time with a bow. I've had plenty of opportunities, I just always sem to do someting to blow the shot, wrong pin, hitting a branch I didn't see, you know what I mean. But I'm not done hunting yet. I'll go sit a water hole this weekend and see what happens. My last several trips to the water hole have produced good bucks, so we'll see if this next trip will come together for me. And if all else fails, I'll go get another with the rifle this coming fall.
