Another 'C' series Colt.

Good price for a 2nd generation Colt with a missing cylinder.

This is what mine looked like back in the 70's. I had the cylinder of course.

I dropped out around $100 dollars. I didn't think it would go this high. The bidding wars on Second Generation Colts is strange. Some go for a slight premium while others are fought over tooth and nail.

I dropped out at $250. Installing a Uberti cylinder would have made it a good shooter for $350

That would be the first "C Series" 1851 I ever saw without a silver plated back strap/ trigger guard.

It was me! Looking at the average cost of 100% complete 2'd gen's vs this one... and my wanting a somewhat authentic Colt... I saved a few bucks by paying $451.99 but, now. I need to find a cylinder for the thing! Hopefully I can find an orphaned 2'd gen Colt cylinder, but not going to hold my breath on 'that' one!

Because it is missing the box and paperwork you could always get THE LETTER from Colt.
