Sent in on February 5th and the dealer just notified me that my stamp came through today. 4 months, 10 days by my count.

Yet another efile success story! I've been doing some research lately and I think this is the route I will go when I finally get my act together enough to buy a suppressor.

Turning 21 would help a bit too :uhoh:

To Efile you must have a Trust, LLC, etc.

The Eforms system is not accepting form 1 or 4 at present, when it'll be back up for these is anyone's guess.

Obama's new BATFE head is pushing fingerprints and photos for all named in the trust.

I'd not wait and do paper forms ASAP to get them in the pipeline, presumably the above change will not apply if they have cashed your check under the current regulations.

I posted this in another thread but my dealer informed me that he received two of my stamps (pdf files) just over a week ago. The eForms for those two were submitted on 1/27 and approved on 6/10 so that's 135 days or very close to 4-1/2 months. The other two submitted almost two weeks earlier i.e. 1/15 haven't been approved yet.

For all you filing paper - ask around and find yourself a good lawyer to setup a trust for you. I paid $300 for mine and he does free updates for as long as he's living. Worth every penny.

Hi Gents,
For all of you sweating paper forms, my form 4 just came thru today. My LGS called to say I can come pick up my suppressor. Purchased on 9/16/2013 went pending on 11/17/2013 and received on 6/17/2014.

Cool mine went pending on 12/20/13 I think, so maybe next month. I do have a trust set up, just did not no about the efile until it was too late. But now I heard the efile is down.

OP, did you efile a form 1 or 4? I didn't see in the sticky if you could efile form 4 or just form 1. (I understand it's just for trusts).

I've done Eforms on form 1 and form 4 while the system was up and accepting them.
Thanks Wally. I assume it's "back up" these days? Can't tell today, says it is down 6a-6p on Wednesdays for 'maintenance'.

My suspicion is that a number of smart (or well connected) people started a lot of "draft" Form 1 and 4s while they still could that they were able to fill out and submit during the time (still going on as far as I know) you could not create From 1s and 4s. I am impressed by their sagacity.

There is also a much less suspicious explanation. Early submissions spawned submitted copies but did not delete the draft itself--they fixed this bug later (In fact there was another bug that if you deleted the submitted copy after approval, you lost access to the approved copy! This was also fixed but never back-populated. I was one of the first victims but fortunately had already downloaded). I suspect if you still have those type of drafts lying around you can completely retool them and submit them as different guns.

For those who had drafts lying around (deliberately or on accident) they could submit them and get them approved very quickly: http://www.nfatracker.com/TrendGraph.aspx

PS. Now that I noticed I also have an old draft I can change and submit, I think the 2nd theory above is the correct one.

I believe it was a form 4. The dealer did everything for me, so I'll double check when I pick it up tomorrow.

I just logged in today and saw the following things:
1. The only forms you can start currently are Form 6 Part 1 and Form6A.
2. My lost stamp is back on the system.
3. I have draft copy of my second approved Form 1 that I can edit (including I believe rewrite and submit if I wanted to--I have enough SBRs and SBSs right now).
