The girl was already converted, but to make it stick and introduce .308Win cal battlerifles, I took her out again. Besides, I don't mind taking someone out to the range at all.

Anyway, more pics, less talk. Since she doesn't get to shoot very often, she didn't waste any time setting everything up. So, warming up with the .22LR

This is our "nest" with most of the stuff on it.

At first the range was interesting place to shoot in, making the use of optical sights almost mandatory, to penetrate the fog and actually see the target. 100m targets were almost invisible.

Anyway, now to the really fun part, and to tease ya guys:

And some "I'm so happy" posing

And I introduced the M14 platform to her, she did like it immensely.

The rifle in question. No I don't worry too much about the serial, criminals may report it as stolen, but it's been far away from US for a long time...

I kind of like the M14 a lot, and value it highly. What a wonderful system, being tailorable for many needs.

But these next three are taken later in some other place and just to show off a bit. At least I'm doing my best to get newbies infected with the "bug".

Sometimes funny stuff happen here, just to lighten up the day. There are campaigns where people can turn up weapons, ammo and explosives without the fear of prosecution. Last one resulted, for example, in giving in a whole 250 liters of napalm. And the one before that resulted in some 300 liters of same stuff Seems that explosives and flammables are pretty common household items. At least here.

So the age of gunnies is yet to be ended in this part of the world.

The M14 is very nice.

Maybe one day I will find one.

Anytime there are new people who enjoy range shooting and want to do it again, it's a good thing for us all.

The MP40 is a war-pickup, dug out of some hole in the ground, literally, but legally registered and everything. It has seen better days, but it has real soul, if a firearm could have one of such.

Where abouts are you getting the MP 40. I want one. Am in Europe and will arrainge the relevant papers. :)
