Another dead tumbler?

Had an old Midway that finally died after maybe 25 or more years, so bought a Lyman and it's worked for the past 4 or 5 with no problems. I run them overnight if I've got a load of dirty brass, or I forget - who am I and what am I doing here. :uhoh:

If a tumbler takes a tumble after overnight running then you need to send it back........especially if it's a FA from Midway. Their reputation is important to them. They own the name, "FA"...Call 'em!

CRITGIT

Well, I called Lyman and they said I could return it for a new one......the customer service tech said they had some problems with a batch and some of 'em snuck out, but she wouldn't elaborate.

I certainly hope people's homes aren't burning down because of them. Are they UL Approved? If so, there may be a recall on the UL web site.

i use a tumbler almost everyday, i have 3 lymans 2500 since they have came out..i have had numerous problems,.. this is used by their guide lines they recommend...i have has some last 2 weeks some as little as 10 hours.. i have have motor bases crack, motor lock up , you name it it has happen... i have told them time and time again. they have a flaw in these tumblers....... finally in june, 08 i contacted them once again..sent another one back... they told me they have had a design change on something , they wouldn't say what. i couldn't see anything different , but his one has lasted longer than any i have had...... i will say they have always sent me a rebuilt one , but it is hassle, it cost me $16.00 + to ship them back.. they paid for the last one to be shipped back.. maybe they have fiqured it out.. some of these problems have occured with half of what they say is max weight....

If your tumbler has an in-line rocker switch, and the machine stops working, check out that switch. Replace if necessary.

so what are everybody here saying what is the best tummbler to get that last for some years , lyman rcbs dillon etc which way to go here

None of the above...
Buy a Thumler's Tumbler, they use real motors...not C-Frame crap. Their bases are metal, not plastic. I've never heard of one getting sent back to the factory.
