If I've said it once, I've said it a 100 times, if you're buying a gun for your pocket buy the p3at, if you're buying a gun for your waist band buy a 9mm.

With the right holster, any 1911 is easily concealable. I'd stick with what you have since I think they are a lot more gun than what you want, and I bet reliable. Check out a www.miltsparks.com Versa Max 2 for a great holster, and for a good belt, 1 1/2 inch from the www.thebeltman.net for a good dual layer bullhide. It's amazing what they can help you conceal.

The only one I have experience with is the Bersa Thunder .380 ACP. I love mine and would purchase it again it I had the chance. Very fine pistol for very little money. Mine has been accurate and reliable.

Kel-Tec P-3AT. Most can be found for a tad under $300. Smallest, lightest, easyest to concel. I know of a member on another site that has 6000 rounds on one of his and I think he had to replace 2 recoil springs. I guess you can see that I`m a big fan of the 3AT, I love and trust mine. Got to keep it clean and lubbed, needs some fluff and buff stuff, And you must find a type of ammo that your p-3 likes because some do well with one type of ammo while others do not. And they have, as been said before, a lifetime warrant. If it breaks or wears out, they repair or replace it. Plus their customer service dept. is A-1. IMHO. :)

I paid 275 for my Bersa and about 30 for a Don Hume holster. When I don't feel like carrying the Glock 19 I reach for the Bersa. I owned a Kel-Tec but never again. Had alot of problems jamming even after the fluff and buff. To each his own but the Bersa is spot on!

The Bersa CC is 6" long, 4.54" high and 1.05" thick. It weighs 16.4oz without the magazine. It is 0.8" longer, 1.04" higher an 0.28" thicker than the Kel-Tech and weighs almost twice as much. To me, this is a plus. The gun is still very concealable, but its much more pleasant to shoot. The Kel-Tec is so tiny that its hard to grip and it has so little mass that the recoil is very snappy. For me, this results in sore hands after about 50 rounds. Its size is both the only thing going for it and its biggest liability. The reason I am recommending the Bersa over the Kel-Tec so strongly is that the original post said the gun would see lots of range time. The Bersa is infinitely more pleasant to shoot at the range and more durable. I think the Kel-Tec has its place, but the range ain't it.

Well I ended up with a gun coming out of left field and biting me. Ended up getting a Taurus Mill Pro in .45. It was techincally used, but never fired. The guy took it out the door, then came back later and traded up to something else.

I ended up getting the Taurus for my Sig Mosquito and $50 out the door. I'm quite happy :) It's a little bigger than I was originally looking for, but it conceals MUCH better than the XD or Colt.

Thanks for the information my friends! I greatly appreciate it. I think a keltec in .380 is still in my future somewhere though...
