I feel fortunate that their headquarters is 10 minutes from my house. They sent me an email blast that they had a Great Western 9mm cylinder that fits my Gambler's Royale .357, and it was on sale. I showed up without calling and they now keep their doors locked and require an appointment, so I called them from the parking lot. She laughed and said come on in, another person just left.

Charlie is the head of operations and gunsmith of the office and has helped me before. A very pleasant person and he likes to talk casually, not like you're wasting his time. He brought out the 9mm cylinder and it fit right in without any issues. He checked that it locked up tight in all chambers. I was worried that the unfluted cylinder wouldn't look right on the laser engraved frame and barrel, but I think it looks pretty sharp because it matches the smooth black micarta grips. Looks and feels like it came with it. Can't wait to try her out.

convertible, centerfire, single-action revolvers are excellent sidearms, especially with the obscene price and uneven availability of 45lc and 357/38 ammo. while these original revolver calibers are great fun, i would be content with just the 45acp and 9mm cylinders. mine are ruger.

oh and it’s great to read a “good news” story about firearms emanating from california.
