I recently sent off my older Pietta 1860 Army to Jackrabbit1957for his tune-up work. This was my first BP revolver. I bought the gun used and the only thing I knew about it for sure was that the wedge didn't fit properly. It turns out that it had a lot more issues, including a very short arbor and a sloppy hammer fit.
Well, it doesn't have issues now. Everything works just fine, and I am very pleased. Considering all that Jackrabbit had to do to fix this pistol, the turn-around time was very good. I was kept informed of the work progress all along the way- good communications.
Thanks Jackrabbit

Yep, one more reason to have a pistol tuned, there always are more issues than one thinks. (no, nothing like taking a car to a mechanic) Indeed, Jack's turn-around time is fantastic. Not an issue with me, but I sure like it. I'm having trouble putting my 1860 down since he did his magic on it. And it needed a LOT of magic.
