Here it goes again, another seemingly stupid/senseless shooting. Since I live here in Charleston SC, I'll bring it up.
"Police identify gunman who killed nine in South Carolina church attack"

I guess I should state the obvious conclusions again. "Gun Free Zone" fails again. Another one, the nut apparently used a 45 ACP and reloaded 5 times, so this kind of goes against the problem with high capacity magazines. He had to get off at least 29 rounds - 8+7+7+7. A third one, the suspected gun was also bought legally. Gun laws 0 for 3. By the time we hit the sack last night there was nobody in custody and no names, victims or shooter. This morning we find out the suspect apparently sat in church with the victims for about an hour before pulling his weapon. His Uncle identified the shooter from published surveillance photos. They are still searching for him. I think it would be safe to say that he is armed and dangerous as well as stating that I feel safer than a few my neighbors by having a means to protect myself although; this is another one that will likely commit suicide by his own hand or 'by police' when he is finally cornered.
It was strange that the wife and I were watching the tube around 10:30 last night when our son 300 miles away called asking what was happening down town. Fifteen minutes later the local news broke in. Apparently a 21 year old killed 9 out of 12 in a church, including the pastor/state congressman.
