The dealer I go to has a NEW Kahr covert 40 Its been it his case for over a year. Is their something wrong with this model I think it to heavy for pocket but would be great IWB. Is this a problem child and maybe I should look at a 9.Ive handled several times and like the way it feels buy no one is interested in buying .He's has always ask 450 for it,good price?

I almost bought a covert in 9 and bought a pm9 instead. Had a major problem with it but they made it right.

The nice thing about the covert models and I think it applies to the .40s is a solid guide rod/single spring instead of those double spring doodads in the smaller barrel models.

If it's new sounds like a good deal to me. These guns can be problematic though and I personally would stay away from a used one, may be a lemon.

I understand that the Coverts were a transitional model between the "K" and "MK" frame sizes.

They are the "K" slide mated to an "MK" stock.
As far as I know, there is nothing wrong with them.
I just prefer the "MK" size frame.

If the gun has been sitting in the case for that long, and you have the cash, make him an offer of $350 and see if he goes for it!!

Also, if the gun is blued, watch out for it coming off.
Kahr's blueing on the EARLIER guns was not the best!!
