I ran across this blade I purchased from Jantz several years ago. I had completely forgotten about it. I decided it was time to do something with it and looked in my wood supply and found a small piece of ebony and a zebrawood handle blank that I thought might look good together so I went to work. I found what I though would be a correct size of brass to make a guard and began the assembly process. I also added some red and blue spacer material on each side of the ebony but it is very hard to see for some reason. The finished result should make a nice hunting knife.

Nicely done!

That's a great little knife you've made there; I especially like the way the zebrawood handle and the ebony spacer go together!

me likie! What's the steel?

I have no idea except it is a high carbon stainless. I have had the blade for 9 or 10 years and have forgotten the makeup. I know it is high carbon from the sparks it threw when I ground small dimples in the handle to form a mechanical lock with the epoxy I used to hold everything together. I do know it it was made in Japan as the little sticker saying so was still on the blade.
