This weekend I got my 722 up over 10,000 rounds fired. It takes a while at 6 at a time but I sure enjoy doing it. I have had this one for years and try to work on my DA trigger pull with it. Great gun and built like a tank since it is a 22 on a 357 magnum frame.

No big deal, I have over 20,000 rounds through both of my Ruger Vaquero's. I shoot Cowboy Action matches at least 3 times a month. Average 120 rounds per match =360 per month=4320 per year x 5 years =21,600, not counting practice!

My 686 has well over 100,000 rounds through it, 4 years of NRA Action Pistol. And I shoot it still today tho not at the rate I use to. It still is an easy 1 1/2 inch fifty yard gun.

I put my shooting into more than just one gun in recent years.

This one has had 46,720 rounds.

This one has had 10,055 rounds

I have 4 more in strking distance of 10,000 logged rounds. Maybe I can get a few more of them over 10k this year.

No, 15 yrds my standard. At our range the 25 yrds are normally tied up with folks sighting in 22 rifles or shotgun folks pattern testing. Both leave the target board pretty chewed so I just bang away at 15.

I log every round I reload and every round I shoot into a master database. I serial number every box and then keep track of it in the field. This way I can track the use of each gun right down to which loads were fired in it and how they performed. I have found that by keeping good records I can really learn about my shooting skill and my gun performance.

I guess that is the scientist in me coming out. I view each trip to the range as an experiement and practice. I want to learn how to shoot better and how to make better ammo. For example from my records:
Year Rounds fired
1995 14,505
1996 3,510
1997 12,070
1998 2,432
1999 8,744
2000 6,674
2001 14,952
2002 23,736
2003 19,667
2004 16,746
2005 16,537
2006 11,577
2007 12,720
2008 20,731
2009 14,328
2010 17,577
2011 12,659

This is just my rounds fired per year talley.
