I'd been wanting to get another revolver for a while now. Because we all know 1 or 4 or 7 is never enough. I just like em. Perhaps to many John Wayne and Clint Eastwood movies when I was a young lad, dunno. This time around I really had my heart set on a King Cobra Target. I'd been looking at a few here and there, and really, I like the looks of em. The price tag was another story, but not a show stopper. Was about to order one til this Redhawk 357 Mag came along. She's a right clean piece for its age, locks up tight and I am shocked at what a great trigger it has. Somebody cherished this thing and it shows. I'll take it down on the weekend but someone had to have done some work to it.

Put about 30 38s thru it tonight, and wasn't bad...once I found the hold I could ring the small plates (3") at 15 yards with the last 2 cylinders. Had no 357 loaded, as the single action ate those up over the last weekend. I'll fix it up with something it'll like

Nice find, and you're right, that Redhawk was well cared for. Rugers are my favorite revolvers, I have several of them in my collection. From the older Security Six line, right up to the Super Redhawk. Hard to beat their durability & reliability.

What a great find!

My brother had a Redhawk when he worked in Alaska. It was a .44 Magnum with the 5.5" barrel and that gun had just the right balance with that barrel length.
