Greetings,

I have a SIG 556 is equipped with Eotech 557+3x magnifier: Perfect for CQB and long distance. Less perfect for the wallet.

I have a PSL equipped with the 8x Russian scope: Under 40 years, the image is blurred with my glasses and if I remove my glasses, the reticle is blurred and the image is ok.

I have a Ruger Redhawk 44 Mag with a cheap tasco scope 2x to 6x: From 4x to 6x, there is parralax and the placement of the head/gun is very important. The field of view is like looking through a McDonald straw. But it is holding the zero and I am still amazed of that...

Now I have an RRA CAR-15 and I would like to put a scope on it without killing my wallet. I would like to have a variable scope to be able to have fun at 25 yards with the minimum setting and have fun at 500 yards with a nice magnification. I would like no parralax at 25 yards and be able to have a good field of vision.

Can you recommend one please?

Thank you

Greetings,

I do not know how much. It would be nice to have a nice setup under 200$.

As I wrote, I put a lot of $$ on the SIG (and I put a Bushnell Trophy holosight on my AK calue 150$. Very satisfied) and I am just looking for a nice plinker that I can get good group at long distance and at 25 yards in the inside range for fun.

Thank you

I would like no parallax at 25 yards
That will be impossible to find unless you get a scope with an adjustable parallax setting, either on the objective lens, or on the side of the turret.

All scopes with any magnification at all to speak of, and without AO or side focus, are set parallax free at a much longer range then 25 yards.

This will be about as good as it gets for your use.

Don't worry about the .22 rifle scope name. It will withstand any centerfire rifle you put it on.

You seriously what him to buy a $400 air rifle scope that is your best recommendation? Don't waste your money on the rimfire Leupold stuff there are plenty of great deals out there for way better scopes so you don't need to settle for a rimfire/air rifle scope (well unless of course if you want one). I am really surprised anyone would suggest one of those with all the excellent alternatives out there. Here are some excellent bargains on great scopes with great warranties. I chose 3-9x40 for the most part because it sounds like it meets your needs plus they are where the best deals are found. Also these all can be adjusted for parallax. For this list I kind of stuck to the scopes that are right on the lower end of the top shelf. I own the Bushnell 4200 and Nikon Team Primos:

The first 2 are the best deals out there today:

Greetings,

I was looking at rhe Bushnell because I have the Elite Reddot (the one looking like an ACOG a little bit) and I am very satisfied.

Question: With my cheap tasco, when I change the magnification from 2x to 6x, there is a HUGE straw effect (the lense gets all balck around and there is just a little bit of image in the center) and the head placing is extremely hard. Will it be the same thing with that one?

Thank you

You seriously missed the part about him wanting something totally parallax free at 25 yards.

None of the scopes you listed meet that criteria.

If your scope is parallax free at 25 yards so are mine because they all have a rear focus to adjust for parallax. I can adjust my 3-9x40 Bushnell Elite 4200 to be parallax free across my basement at 3x.
