Ok, so I can't stop buying S&W's, but I DID need a centerfire to shoot silhouette matches in the Open Sights class.

I think this one should be able to reach out to 50 yds.

I mean, that's a good excuse isn't it?

Should be in my hands within a week.

Help me with the year, 1967?

Very nice. I picked up a 14-4 not too long ago I posted up. Mine has target grips and what appear to be semi-target hammer and trigger. I watched $495 fresh ones float away for mine and have never looked back. They really don't make them like this anymore and doubtless ever will.

Nice pick-up! I always disliked the 8-3/8" barrel...utill I bought one recently at an estate sale. Man...it is some kind of accurate. It changed my mind in a hurry.
