Tucker Cover-Up from Tucker Gun Leather. I carry a G-26 everyday and a lot of the time with the shirt tucked in. It is comfortable and about 1/2 the size of the others.

IWB

Bianchi 100 professional, Rides high enough to protect against the hammer digging in, nice leather. I love the 2 I have

Out of the two I would select the blackhawk.

Honestly thought, you would be better spend to use the money you were going to spend on a off the shelf holster and purchase a custom holster. For example, the Blackhawk is $40. For not too much more you could purchase a Milt Sparks VMII which to many including myself is the ultimate concealment holster.

Not sure what handgun you want to carry. My pet peeve is people who spend $500-$800 on a defensive handgun and then complain when their $15 holster does not work/feel/retain correctly.

The holster is (and a good belt) just as much a part of the equation (that may save your life) as the holster.

I had the usual "box o' holsters" that many handgun owners who become interested in concealed carry own. I think both of these holsters may have been in that box.

IMHO the two best IWB holster makers are Milt Sparks (the VMII is the cream of the crop) and Matt Del Fatti (the ISP-SS is awesome).

Since Del Fatti is backed up for almost 2 years....I'd go with the Sparks VMII. I own 4 and after I bought my first one I sold that "box o' holsters" on Ebay. I felt a little guilty passing them on.....but hey the next guy needs a "box o' holsters" until he sees the light.

Check here Lightning Arms Sports or here Top Gun Supply for a possible holster with no wait.

Did anyone ever consider that the original poster needs this holster ASAFP and that these are the only two being presented as options? Or, maybe he doesn't have the $$$ to spend on a more expensive holster. For all we know, he could be shooting a Hi-point 9mm and Wolf ammo because that's all he can afford. It's one thing to suggest other options, but snide comments are certainly uncalled for and are not taking the high road.

I have the bare asset for my j-frame. I don't recomend it. It's paper thin and digs into every part of my hip I try to position it on. I have better luck with the uncle mikes. Milt sparks are great if you've got 8-20 weeks or so. I would go with the crossbreed if I got another. JMO
from the milt sparks site...
We understand that many of you cannot wait the sometimes 8 to 20 weeks (or longer) that it takes to get our product

Sorry for the error. Wasn't trying to low road it.

Actually, i do need a holster ASAP (new purchase) for a SA XD-9 Service. I am having a hell of a time trying to find one at a resonable price right away.

Milt sparks are great if you've got a year or so.

Current quote is 18 weeks. The 2 company links that I provided get them in on a regular basis. You pay a premium but you can have the last IWB holster that you will every buy in 2 days.

Even if a holster is needed ASAP.....I would still order one thru Sparks. The time will be up before you know it. :)

I just sold a 'Bare Asset' for a Kahr PM9

It's a minimalist holster that's maximalist uncomfortable.

Buy a CrossBreed. Just like the Tucker. Just as comfortable. Half the cost.
